We can also help with improving your knowledge of musical theory. Some knowledge of theory makes life a lot easier when it comes to understanding the music.
If you are rank beginner or with some experience wanting to go a bit further then do get in touch. We like to take a relaxed and friendly approach to our teaching as playing music should be an enjoyable experience.
If you want to learn guitar it always helps if you are prepared to sing as most people use it as an accompaniment to singing.
Not neccessary but it does help. We believe most people can sing but the trouble is we are always comparing oursleves to others.
We can also help with singing and voice production as well, having studied singing at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music.
How much do we charge? We feel £10 per half hour is fair enough or for older students who can afford it, £20 per hour.
For younger students probably 1/2 hour is probably enough. It is up to you of course.
John is currently writing a tutor book for Mandolin as he has found so many tutor books are lacking in some of the basic information needed to learn an instrument.
