Our instruments

As well as being singers we play a wide variety of instruments.

John plays a 00016M Martin guitar, his own handmade acoustic guitar, guitar- bouzouki, Irish bouzouki, mandolin and various low whistles.

His Scottish Lowland Pipes in A and Scottish smallpipes in C, D, and A were made by Malcolm McLaren in Brisbane, Australia. The Galician boxwood bagpipes in C were made by Seivane in Galicia, Spain. The Northumbrian smallpipes in G have a box wood chanter made by Colin Ross, Northumberland, a bag by Dave Shaw and the rest unknown!

Caroline plays a 30 string gut strung Celtic harp made by John and various whistles.
